These commercials aired on local ABC affiliate KGO on March 5th, 1983. Thanks to my Aunt & Uncle for recording these. 1. Honda V65 Magna 2. Midas 3. Budweiser (It doesn’t seem like they still use these in their advertising) 4. Promo for “ABC’s Wide World Of Sports” 5. “Wide World Of Sports” Commercial Bumper (LOL) 6. Volkswagen Rabbit GTI 7. Monroe 8. Promo for “The Renegades” (With Patrick Swayze) 9. Mastercard International (Jingletastic!) 10. Bull (With The Drifters and Skyy! Amazing) 11. Promo for “KGO News” 12. “Wide World Of Sports” Commercial Bumper 13. Volkswagen Scirocco 14. Sears National Hardware Sale 15. Promo for “That’s Incredible” and “Deadly Lessons” (Ernie Anderson talking about murder is one of the scariest things I’ve ever heard in my life) 16. Century 21 (“We sold it!”) 17. Goodyear (With Darrell Waltrip) 18. First Jersey Securities (This was a notorious penny stock brokerage firm that ripped off the elderly, and this guy is currently serving time at Fort Dix for money laundering and bankruptcy fraud) 19. Promo for “ABC Sports” (I must reiterate: the graphics/animation on these is awesome) 20. My Uncle playing “Night Stalker” on the Intellivision (This was on the same tape so I threw it in just for fun)

Having a jingletastic commercial? Priceless! And what the hell is Mastercard II?
I’m fairly certain I don’t want to drink any beverage that might provoke a bull to break through a nearby wall. I will, however, be happy to drink a beverage provided by the Kool-Aid Man after he breaks through a wall.
Do real estate agents still wear such ugly blazers?
NASCAR cars circa 1983 sure don’t look all that aerodynamic.
Apparently, Robert Brennan got out of jail earlier this year.

That’s Jim Mackrell in the Mastercard ad in the beginning. He guest starred on a number of shows, played the vice-principal in the first Teen Wolf movie, and was a game show host. He did “Celebrity Sweepstakes” in the mid-70s.

What an epic Mastercard ad! Almost looks like the ABC Sunday Night Movie graphics!
I’ve been looking for a better quality of this particular Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull ad, so thanks!
Ernie is scaring me on Deadly Lessons!
Too bad Robert E. Brennan was busted later on in the 80s, for all things, securities fraud (sic)
Nice little gameplay video at the end, before many people started doing stuff like that!

WOW! I remember watching most of that, I was a teenager back then, I had no job & barely went to school. All that took place before cable, MTV and all that crap. Thanks for the memories.

Bull commercial- pure mind blowing craziness. The end of this video was probably the craziest 25 seconds of my life. LOL

@jmtart1 It just sounds like generic rock music recorded especially for the commercial.
#11 by jmtart1 on 11/24/2011 - 1:29 PM
does anyone know what the music is from the honda v65 mangna commercial? if you have any info, please let me know.

Back when NASCAR was fun to watch and the racecars looked like actual cars, not like now – unrecognizable cars with stick-on headlights. I’d rather watch darts

#22 by BoogsterSU2 on 11/24/2011 - 5:52 PM
Sure Budweiser uses those horses for advertising. They DID use it in the latest Super Bowl, right?
#23 by mefault on 11/24/2011 - 6:52 PM
I remember that Bull Beer jingle. Kool and the Gang did a few of those. I also remember the Mastercard jingle and they always had such exotic imagery along with that unforgettable, catchy tune. Ernie Anderson’s voice use to scare me as a kid yet it was so cool.
