Do attorneys tend to work the day before Thanksgiving?

Was just told someone had received advice from his attorney today. I wouldn’t think most of them would have hours today.

I called one and she wasn’t in. Depends on the attorney, I’d say, and individual plans by lawyers and judges.

Absolutely yes. Small, solo practitioners, maybe not so much. But attorneys at big firms, hell yes.

And some will be working on Friday after Turkey-day.

And some will be working on Saturday also.

Some probably are working right now.

And some will do some work tomorrow.

If the courts and jails are open, attorneys work even on holidays. Though they may postphone representation.

No. We have a union and we dont have to work on the day before Thanksgiving or the Friday after.

EDIT: Cool your jets! I was being sarcastic!!!! I havent had a holiday off in over 25 years.

All attorneys have exactly the same schedule whether they work for governments or alone or with a huge firm, whether they are single or married with kids, whether they have been doing it for 40 years or one year. That schedule, however, is secret.

In the large firms, many will be working tomorrow.
