Do human rights lawyers and victims of clergy sexual abuse stand a chance of getting the ICC involved?

As the vatican isn’t a member state, does the ICC even have jurisdiction?
That’s International Criminal Court for those that can’t work it out for whatever strange reason.

Yes, though the jurisdiction will be limited to member states.

The jurisdiction issue may mean that implicated Vatican officials could not travel to countries where jurisdiction does exist, or else they are liable to be arrested and prosecuted for their alleged crimes.

The other problem would be that much of the information necessary for successful prosecutions only exists within the Vatican, e.g. from when churches kept all information on such crimes internally rather than reporting it to the police. The Vatican is still refusing to reveal this information or cooperate with the authorities seeking it.

However, there is likely already enough evidence elsewhere to enable prosecution of certain church officials (current and former) to go ahead. Some justice is still better than none.
