How do attorneys collect money from clients?

    I can’t give you a complete breakdown of fees because each lawyer can charge whatever he wants to charge.

    As to your actual question regarding how they collect money from clients: When you hire an attorney you sign a contract regarding his/her fees and other charges. If you don’t pay then they will probably take you to court and you’ll wind up owing even more money. Still refuse to pay and they’ll garnish your wages and put liens on any property you own.

    It depends on many factors. Legal support is not like a fast food menu with set prices nationwide. sorry.
