Living with Michael Jackson is a documentary, in which British journalist Martin Bashir interviewed Michael Jackson over a span of 8 months, from May 2002 to January 2003. It was shown first in the UK on 3 February 2003 and in the US three days later on ABC, introduced by Barbara Walters. Martin Bashir put the proposal to Jackson as a way to show the world the truth about him and make nothing off limits. Jacksons decision to make the documentary was made on the suggestion by his close friend Uri Geller. It later emerged that Geller had turned down another bid for the interview by journalist Louis Theroux. The interview was very unusual, as it had been extremely rare for Jackson to allow such access to his personal life, or to talk so freely about his traumatic childhood. Nevertheless, he did show some reserve when asked to discuss other personal issues, such as the plastic surgery he has had. Jackson felt betrayed by Bashir and complained that the film gives a distorted picture of his behaviour and conduct as a father. He claims that Bashir, in the final version of his interview, used only that material which supported Bashirs opinion of Jackson, which was not a favorable one. Jackson filed complaints with the UKs Independent Television Commission and the Broadcasting Standards Commission. Jacksons lawyers claimed in a British High Court case against Martin Bashir and Granada TV that the documentary was a breach of contract and breach of confidence. The proceedings were …

If Dr. Murray is a criminal for giving MJ a drug that shouldn’t have been used outside a hospital setting, what does that make MJ for getting addicted to it? A genius? A sweet innocent angel? A victim? All of the above?

there is so much great content here that was wasted on a failure of a documentarian. this guys interview technique is awful, his footage is awful, and with the access he was granted its just a terrible shame. that the most intimate video record of the most important musical artist in modern history was left to this degenerate brit is truly regrettable. this guy should hang himself. seriously, the author of this film should put a gun to his head, and shoot himself in the face seven times.

By the way, did you know that MJ moved in with the Chandlers for about a month? Yep, he put his musical career on hold so he could become their housekeeper! He slept in Jordan’s room, washed Jordie’s laundry and folded his underwear.

@IamStoneGrooved true but you forget to mention his mother allowed him to stay with Michael while she was off enjoying luxury and the fact that they made 20 MILLION DOLLARS. I’m not saying at all that Michael was or wasn’t a pedo but there’s a compelling argument for either one. You don’t think there’s a chance galvins mother told her son to do as Michael says?

@urAmoron44 – I volunteer my time and resources twice a month locally. I work at street-level with the homeless mentally ill, people MJ probably would never have contact with unless it was a photo op for him. I recycle my bottles and cans and ride my bicycle whenever possible. I don’t do it because I don’t have a car. I do it because I think it’s important. I’m trying to build a better world for YOUR CHILDREN!

In the beginning, he was about “WE” are the world but then he turns it around and starts saying, “I’m better for children than their own parents are!”

Dr. Murray didn’t testify on his own behalf at his trial. We hadn’t heard a peep from this man! We’d seen him cry but I didn’t even know that he has an accent until that documentary aired!! Yet here are MJ fans, ready to put his head on the chopping block and THEY HAVEN’T EVEN HEARD HIS SIDE OF THIS!!

Did everyone watch, “Michael Jackson and the Doctor – A Fatal Friendship” on MSNBC Friday night? YEAH, it showed a sympathetic account of what happened to Dr. Murray! Of course, the Jackson family and militant pro-MJ groups like vindicatemj tried to pressure MSNBC to not televise it but it went on as scheduled!! With documentaries like this one drumming up support for Dr. Murray and his appeal in the works, he might be out of jail in no time!!
