Starting at 5:00 am on Friday, November 26, 2010, deep discounts on a variety of products are expected, including on high-end items like televisions, electronics, computers and more. While planning ahead is a common strategy before heading out for Black Friday shopping, in the past, Wal-Mart has been quite controlling in terms of leaking their ad prior to the Sunday before Thanksgiving. BlackFriday.info, among other sites, received a pre-emptive cease-and-decist letter from Wal-Mart attorneys threatening action should the site post the Black Friday flyer before its official release on Sunday, November 21, 2010. Despite sending a similar warning to websites in recent years, Wal-Mart did in fact leak their sale ad to CNN almost a week before the official release date in 2009. One thing is known for sure, the 2010 Wal-Mart sales will feature a wider variety of discounts as compared to previous years.
