what is the role of the assistant US attorneys?


I can only find the role of the US attorneys, not the ASSISTANT US ATTORNEY.

Can someone explain to me what it is that that assistant Us attorneys do??

    They do the same as the u.s. attorney, except that they do not supervise the assistants.

    The US Attorney is the politically appointed head of the office. The assistant US attorneys do all the work. They supervise investigations, prepare cases for trial, try cases and file and argue appeals.
