Frankford umbrellas sold by SoPoly are covered by the following warranty:
- Umbrella Frames: Warranted for one (1) year against defects in material and workmanship.
- Umbrella Fabrics: Covered under the respective fabric manufacturer's warranty (Sunbrella® or Outdura®).
This warranty does not cover damage caused by wind, storms, improper use, failure to close and secure the umbrella when not in use, or normal wear and tear. Umbrellas must be properly maintained and stored according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Industry Standard: The general industry standard allows up to 1/8 inch of warp per foot of table length, to account for minor material flexing from temperature changes. For example, a 4-foot table could show up to 1/2 inch of warp across its surface, while a 6-foot table could show up to 3/4 inch.
SoPoly's Policy: To uphold the standards of our 20-year warranty, SoPoly applies a stricter allowance of 1/16 inch per foot of table length. HDPE can expand and contract with heat, so slight warping is more common and more tolerable outdoors. If warping affects usability (for example, causing wobbling or items to slide), it may exceed acceptable limits.
Measuring Warp: Place the table on a perfectly flat surface, then measure the gap between the table top and the surface with a ruler or feeler gauge, and compare it to the allowance above.
- Within Tolerance: This is considered normal. We recommend heat-correction methods to help flatten the table top.
- Beyond Tolerance: Please contact us to discuss warranty resolution options, including repair or replacement of the table top.
